Blue Jeans Go Green seems simple enough at first: send in your old blue jeans for recycling, and they make it into cotton insulation. One group that uses a lot of this insulation is Habitat for Humanity.

The catch is this: The jeans you send in must be at least 90% cotton. A lot of "blue jeans" you can buy today do not meet this standard; for example, if your jeans are stretchy, they probably contain too much spandex to qualify. So you might not actually be able to get rid of your old jeans this way.

If your jeans are in good enough condition, you might consider sending them to ThredUP instead. If not, Retold Recycling will take them regardless of cotton content.
