The short answer is that I'm really just making my own list of bookmarks public, in hopes it may be useful to others.
It's always exciting to find companies that are producing or distributing environmentally sustainable items. However, I often find that I encounter such companies at times when I don't yet need their products. So, although I may not want to buy anything from them right away, I want to keep them on my radar for later, or help others with more immediate needs discover them and support them.
Eventually I realized that my personal bookmark-list of "Socially responsible companies" might be useful to others, so I've posted the list here, both for my own reference, and in hopes that it might be useful to others.
Because of where I'm located, there's a bias in the list for companies that are available in the United States, specifically, the San Francisco Bay Area. Some "green" services are very local by necessity.
All the reviews here are my own; no one is paying me to do this. Any links that are "affiliate" links, where I get some benefit if someone uses them, will be marked as such.
